Well...we did it! Despite the fact we slip in the occasional 'eh' and know why people wear poppy pins in November...we are NOW officially Canadian because we celebrated the May 24 {pronounced :: May Two Four...you see, that also makes us Canadian because we know how to...as Hugh says, "talk Canadia"} weekend up at the cottage. Snuggled against thousands of motorists along Hwy 401, we wiggled our way to the place where the air is familiar, the water is cold and the only piece of clothing worth wearing is...

We played the way May 24 players play. We ate the way May 24 eaters eat. We celebrated the opening of Cottage Season 2010 the way May 24 cottagers celebrate.

Thank you for the cottage shot. Tear up at the office may be frowned upon but some sunsets require it . . . sniff, sniff . . .
By the way, lowering Hugh into the water wearing what God gave him looks SO uncomfortable!!! I shifted in my seat just looking at the picture :)
i know...we kept asking him if it hurt. surely, it would hurt. but not for hugh...buns of steel, that one...buns of steel. xopd.
and do you know what else i like about the cottage sunset photos? they all look exactly the same as those taken in decades gone by. as far as we know, this picture could be from 1974. speaking of the 70's, it also kind of resembles a school photo backdrop? the only prop missing...the wagon wheel. xopd.
